The background seems a bit boring after the nightfall one.
They should just have an option that allows us to choose which background we would like!!!!

I hope soon, cause as it stands, I'm finding myself less inclined to play GW because of the hassle of actually logging in. Reducing the graphics settings hasnt helped significantly either, so I'm thinking the problem is in optimization.

Perhaps you need to check something on your pc(hardware/drivers). Even my ancient system runs it fine on high settings.

Its A Yosemite Valley Ripoff!
C'mon, has anybody seen photos of Yosemite Valley? Its a exact duplicate from the South Gate, with Half Dome exactly in the same position. They added some Northern Lights and a fire...
Guess some people need to get out more often or open a book (i.e. Ansel Adams)
Anyway...Its a nice change, and it makes me want to visit Yosemite again soon.

I'll ignore the fact you used the word "toon" instead of "character" (sorry, pet peeve of mine), but just how can you spin your character around to face any direction? Granted, you can spin the camera around any which way, but the movement controls do not function in the CSS. Your chara will just stand there, idly staring off into the hinterlands.

Well I finally got logged in and got to a char I wanted to play. The game runs fine for the most part as it always has at my current graphics settings. My drivers are as recent as possible and my hardware analysis is unchanged from the last time I checked it. I do remember having some lag in the intro screens before NF came out as well which resolved itself for the most part once it released. I'm hoping the same happens with GWEN. Or better yet, giving the players the option of which background they would like to see on start up or turning off the graphical login screen all together. They are a nice feature, but, quite frankly, I'd like to actually log in and play the game more then stare at the login screen.
Anyway, long story short, my machine is no spring chicken, but well maintained. I am still years from getting anything new as I have limited income. I just wanted to find out if anyone else in the community was experiencing lag in the login screen as well as to suggest some optimization of the login screen and/or options to turn it off or change it to an older one. I miss the original login screen.

edit: For the heck of it, I lowered all my settings, audio and graphical, to minimum. There is no change what so ever in the FPS. Its like its getting bogged down in the processors themselves (I have 2 processors btw) which I have found to happen from time to time with different softwares that are not optimized for dual processors. I hope this gets resolved, because I'm not feeling the urge to want to play GW atm.

SNOW
It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow.
Snow
I want to wash my hands, my face and hair with snow.
Snow
I long to clear a path and lift a spade of snow
Snow
Oh, to see a great big man entirely made of snow
Where it's snowing
All winter through
That's where I want to be
Snowball throwing
That's what I'll do
How I'm longing to ski
Through the snow-oh-oh-oh-oh
LOL heck. I have been driving my relatives crazy singing that song since the weather turned colder. lol
Of course I'm in Alaska lol We will have snow in a few weeks from now I would anticipate... Least on the mountains..
